Product Description:
The problem:
Position of the brake disc behind the wheel hub (front and rear axle)
Very tight fit of the wheel bearing / hub combination in the axle body
Removal without damaging the bearing as replacement is usually unnecessary
Guarantee cases where the bearing replacement is not intended, etc.
Practically:
1.) Extraction over the wheel hub using a slide hammer puller
Problem: Each impact pulls direct on the wheel bearing inner ring -
Consequence: Damaging of the wheel bearing.
2.) Heavy hammer blows direct to the brake disc.
Problem: The brake disc drives the wheel hub in front of itself -
Consequence: Direct impact to the bearing inner ring + tilting.
Caution: Manufacturer information for spare parts - No hammer blows to the brake disc!!!
Manufacturer recommendation: Use of an expensive hydraulic
3.) Removal using original tool 204-345B (see Fig.)
Problem: Rough running thread in the wheel bearing housing -
difficult extraction by screwing in the original TX screws equally
Risk of damaging the thread in the axle housing -
Consequence: unwanted and expensive replacement
The solution:
Special extractor flange + special adapter + heavy slide hammer 6 + 3 kg
Advantages:
Application force from behind, direct on the wheel bearing outer ring
No damage to the wheel bearing + ABS sensor
Quick assembly - good working freedom
Optimum releasing force due to axially guided force (up to approx. 12 t)
For models:
Transit 2000.5 (01/2000 - 05/2006)
Transit 2006.5 (04/2006 - )
except vehicles with reinforced front axle (Payload more than 1,850 kg)
Consisting of: 1 x Ford Transit brake disc extractor flange
1 x Slide hammer adapter
1 x Heavy slide hammer adapter, 6 + 3 kg
Caution: As a result of the tremendously tight fit of the wheel
bearing unit in the axle body, we recommend the use of
a heavy slide hammer.
